We welcome all the Shawano Lake Sno*Blaster members staying with us for Klondike days. We look forward to making your stay enjoyable.
For others planning to attend Klondike Days, keep in mind we're only 20 miles from the Eagle River area. It's easy to get there, as there are several trails that go into Eagle River from here. We're just a short ride away, yet far enough to still enjoy the quiet and peacefulness the Little Pine and Hiles area has to offer. And we're right on the trail, so you can walk out your door, jump on your sled and hit the trails.
The forecast calls for more snow again this week, so the trails should remain in good condition. For trail conditions, click on the "Snow Tracks" button on the left side for updated trail information.
The Hiles Ice Fisheree held Saturday on Pine Lake was again a big success. Many fish were caught and many fish stories told. Put on by the Hiles Volunteer Fire Dept. and the Hiles Service Club, prizes were given for the largest walleye, northern, bluegill, and crappie. There were some good-sized fish caught. For walleye, the winner was 29 1/2" and weighed over 6 lbs. The winning northern was 28'' and weighed 6 lbs 9 oz.
Be sure to put the following events on your calendar...

And if you're planning your summer vacations, fishing trips or weekend getaways, keep us in mind. We're right in the heart of the Northwoods, so there's plenty of activities to do within a few miles of us. Or just enjoy the relaxation and peacefulness the Little Pine offers, such as nightly campfires. We supply the wood so you can just relax around a roaring fire and enjoy the beauty of the Northwoods.
And, at the Little Pine, when you arrive we'll greet you with a friendly "Hello folks! Welcome to the Little Pine!!" We'll make sure your room is clean and comfortable and we'll do everything we can to make your stay enjoyable.
